AQUASAFE
The Aquasafe unit is solar-powered and is designed for use at the househeld level. The unit can pastuerize up to 50 litres per day, based on 8 hours of sunshine or partly cloudy weather
Aquasafe can improve public health:
- High yield - may produce up to 50 litres of pasteurised drinking water per day
- Uses surface water or unsafe tap water; can be used even with very turbid (unclear) water
- Uses no chemicals hence no risk of toxins (such as TTHM's) being produced during pasteurisation
- Easy-to-use thermal indicator ("WAPI") as a safeguard against unfinished pasteurisation
- Simple handling system prevents treated water from getting recontaminated before it is to be used
- Pasteurized water can be stored, unopened for more than 2 weeks
Easy to use

- Check the WAPI (i.e. check if wax has melted and run down to ring)
