What can I do to prevent leakages from the bottles during the pasteurisation process?
It is very important the there is no moisture in the chamber of the Aquasafe unit as this will significantly impair the unit's efficiency.Moisture can be introduced into the chamber if the bottle leaks.
Some user's have observed that leakages took place from the bottle during the pastuerisation even though the bottle appeared to be well sealed when initially placed in the unit.
Leakages during the pasteurisation process may by due to the expansion of the water volume due to increased temperature.
Accordingly there should always be a little air pocket in the bottle once the cap is screwed on. This air pocket will allow the water to expand when heated, without pressing moisture out of the bottle.
