How do I distinguish between PVC and PET bottles ?
PET bottles should be used in the Aquasafe unit. But how do I know whether the bottle is made from PVC or PET ?
PET burns easily when exposed to a flame, and carries on burning after the obejct is removed from the flame. The smoke has a sweet smell.
PVC is difficult to inflame. The material doesn't burn outside the flame. The smell of the smoke is pungent.
